INTERFACE WITH CHRIST: "Who gets to go to heaven?"

Acrylics on 3 canvas drops. 1m x 1.2m. Natalie Tate 2012. Sold

I was pondering my unresolved concept of "Church" when this spontaneous image emerged. The myriad of little crosses suggest people's souls. The funnel shape on the left suggests time (and souls) are running out. That large white mitre was a surprise.

Ellen G White in "The Great Controversy" breaks open the chilling miss-endeavour of "the Church" in history persecuting "the real" "body of Christ" on earth, which has reappeared irrepressibly through two thousand years. She says the "real" church, "the Body of Christ on earth" would have been annihilated by the ruling, power-clinging religious-authorities of the day, even today. But as with Christ's crucifixion, it only serves to increase Christ's resurrection power, until the forewarned but undated day of his return. Jesus in Matthew's gospel report has much to say on this.

On the global scene Jesus stated that he will come again "on the clouds", says Matthew. But Matthew also reports Christ's warnings that a false Messiah will come first, fooling even the elect.... Who can we trust? God or man? Which men? Can we trust the reports of this Son of God/son of man?

Indestructible is Christ and his mysterious "Body" on earth. It looks like he will have the last word. I read that he IS the Word, "from the beginning". So what do we do? Need we do nothing "for Christ" other than to recognise our doubting natures, read what he says (read a gospel), reel from our sinful natures (he exposes us to ourselves), "take up our cross daily" as he asks, amidst our ordinary lives. He indicates that then he can "live in us", so that he can do the rest?
