This painting was commissioned by a client who is empowered by John the Apostle's vision of the white horse, from the book of Revelation Chapter 19, in the Bible's New Testament.

Nat has included associated imagery voiced in that vision, such as the winepress of God's wrath (the grapes at the base), the angel standing in the sun, the eyes as flames of fire (Christ's eyes), and the 12 steps are the colours of the 12 semiprecious stones that make up the base of the city of The New Jerusalem (chapter 21).

I hope this is just the start of painted commissions of 'Revelation' imagery.
